Sinisisi niya ang mga tao sa paligid niya sa mga nangyaring masama sa kanyang
buhay at ngayon ay ang paghihiganti lang ang tangi niyang nais. Ang tanong
ngayon, bakit iba ang gumanap kay Amina noong ito ay inilalahad ni Emy kay
Leon? Ang maaring paliwanag dito ay kung bulag na si Emy magmula ng siya ay
bata pa. Dahil hindi naman niya nakita si Amina, maaring ang babaeng ipinakita
sa pagbabalik-tanaw ay ang paniniwala ni Emy na itsura ni Carlotta noong mga
panahon na iyon. Gayunpaman, mukhang hindi naman bulag ang dalawang taong

Leon
turns out to be Carlotta’s missing son after all. This is what she would
confess to Henry (Allan Paule), her returning ex-boyfriend. Their love affair
was cut short because of her father’s interference. Arturo told Carlotta that
her Henry left her in exchange for a large sum of money, while Henry receives a
fake letter made to appear as if it was from Carlotta. This would mark the
beginning of their separation. When Carlotta finds out that she is pregnant,
she decides to flee and live far away at Agusan where she was known by the name
Amina. This is also the name mentioned by Emy to Leon, telling him that it was
his mother’s name. Arturo discovers his daughter’s whereabouts and comes to
drag her back home, thus, separating her from her child. Since Edward is the
only one who knows where she actually went, she deems her brother responsible
for her separation from her infant son.

Now
we know why Carlotta acts the way she does. She blames everyone around her for
the misfortunes that have happened in her life and now all she could think
about is revenge. The question now is, why get different actress to play the
role of Amina during the flashback narrated by Emy to Leon? The possible explanation
is that Emy has been blind since childhood, and because she did not see what
Amina really looked like, the woman shown in her flashback could very well just
be her own imagination of what Carlotta looked like during that time. Even so,
it seems that the two year old Emy shown in the flashback was not blind at all.
What gives?
