Kabanata 51

Lalapit si Arturo sa apo na si Ivan na gumuguhit ng larawan, isang larawan ng ama, ina at kapatid na hindi kilala ng matanda. Ito ang pagsisimulan ng isang matinding away sa pagitan nila ni Carlotta kung saan mapapatunayan ng huli na ang kanyang ama nga ang may pakana sa pagpapapatay kay Henry. Palalayasin ni Carlotta ang ama at sasaklolo naman si Edward na magiging dahilan upang magkaroon din ng isang mahalagang pag-uusap ang dalawa. Maglalabas si Carlotta ng sama ng loob at maibubunyag na rin sa wakas kay Edward na nagbalik lamang ang kapatid upang maghiganti. Babalik na si Leon sa PGC matapos kausapin ni Edward. Ito ay dahil sa hiling ng Hapon na mamumuhunan sa PGC na si Leon ang maging isa sa mga punong abala sa Meraviglie. Nais din nito makilala si Gen at mangyayari ang lahat sa Tokyo.

Nakakatuwang makitang muling magkakasama si Edward at Leon. Kung tutuusin, sila naman talagang dalawa ang matagal nang magkasama bago pa man dumating si Gen sa kanilang mga buhay. Para na nga silang magkapatid. Gayunpaman, nakakalungkot na alam naman na ng lahat na hindi magiging maganda ang pagtatapos nito at hindi maaring walang masasaktan sa kanilang tatlo. Tungkol naman kay Carlotta, mabuti naman at naibunyag na ang kanyang tunay na pakay. Dahil dito, magiging patas na ang laban dahil alam na nilang lahat kung sino ang magkakaaway. Nakakatawa rin magbiro ang kapalaran, ngayon kung sino pa ang anak na inapi-api ng ama, siya ngayong sumasaklolo sa kanya. Gayunpaman, mukhang labis labis din naman ang dinanas ni Carlotta sa ama at ngayon ay kagaya na rin siya nito.

“Kasal lang kami sa papel. Ayokong ako pa magbigay ng pagkakataon para simulan ang isang bagay na tapos na” –Edward

Episode 51

Arturo approaches his grandson Ivan while drawing a picture, a picture of a father, a mother, and a brother that the old man does not recognize. This will be the cause of a grand quarrel between him and Carlotta wherein she will be able to prove that it was his father after all who planned Henry’s frustrated murder. Carlotta will throw his father out of the house and Edward will come to the old man’s rescue, because of which the siblings would also have an important discussion. Carlotta vents out all her frustrations and the purpose of her return, which is vengeance, would eventually be revealed. Meanwhile, Leon comes back to PGC after Edward talks him into it. This is because of the Japanese investor interested to invest in PGC, but would only do so if Leon is made one of the primary project heads of Meraviglie. He also wants to meet Gen, and everything will take place in Tokyo.

It is nice to see Edward and Leon together again. In fact, the two of them are really the ones with a long history together, even before Gen entered the picture. They could even be considered as brothers. Even so, it is kind of saddening to know that everything would not be ending well, as we all know that it is close to impossible that not one of the three would not get hurt. As for Carlotta, it is good that her real intentions are finally revealed. This levels the playing field somehow because now everyone is aware of who the real enemy is. It is quite funny how destiny tends to play jokes on everyone, now with the son who got nothing but get berated by his father coming to his rescue. Nevertheless, it seems as though Carlotta is the one who experienced so many bad things from her father and is the very reason why she has turned out to be like him.
