Enjoyed your DPRK posts! Will be going to the DPRK soon din (Which is why I'm posting anonymously. Hihi). I suppose you didn't tell Immigration at NAIA?

ihcahieh said...

@Anonymous - Ooh, exciting! PEXER din? vogripach just got back from Pyongyang. Ayan, pagbalik mo tatlo na tayong PEXER na nakapag NoKor! HAHA. Let's keep that PEX thread alive.

You don't have to tell immigration anything. If you are going there via Koryo Tours, you'll be transiting in Beijing anyway. Pag nanghingi ng RT ticket yung immigration sa NAIA, show your Beijing tix. I did show my Koryo Tours itinerary to the Chinese embassy, though. Needed it for the double entry visa.

Awesome! Now I want to visit Nokor : )

@iwasborntoeatcookandtravel - I think they are getting more lenient, try mo once. Nagutom ako when I visited your blog, by the way. HAHA. :)

Not a PEXER (I might as well be one, though), I just lurk here and there! Will link you back to my trip report once I get back.

ihcahieh said...

@Anonymous - looking forward to it!

Anon here. Thanks again for the advice. Had no problems. As promised, here is the link back:

@nicowritesonthewall - cool! Keep the NoKor thread on PEX alive, para mas maraming tips para sa mga iba pang gusto pumunta. :)

Nakailang view na ata ako dito sa post mo, remembered to drop by here dahil nakakita ako ng 9USD lang na tickets sa AirKoryo bobook na sana ako dahil mura pero wala pa rin akong balak pumunta sa NoKor until magulo pa rin ang govt nila and hindi pa rin free to explore on your own na safe. Anyway good job, sana maabutan ko pa in my lifetime na i-allow nila to travel w/out guides sa NoKor

ihcahieh said...

@Mariane Ballesteros - 9 USD? Baka naman typo error lang nila yun! Hahaha. Anyway, don't hold your breath, medyo mahirap asahan na aayos ang NoKor anytime soon. It will take a war to set things straight, unless mag change of heart si Kim Jong Un at mag ala Myanmar sila na mahirap ma-imagine. If you really want to go but you are concerned about your safety, I'd suggest you do it like I did, two days lang para di masyadong mahaba. Yun nga lang, they will really just show you what THEY want you to see. :)
