As expected, Min-Joon immediately falls ill after stealing another kiss from Song-Yi, who then had to lug him around to get to his car, drive him home, and fall asleep with him in his bed. She asks him whether it was her he kissed or the young Joseon widow. “CHEON SONG-YI,” he answers. Her brother catches her sneaking out of his apartment the next morning. Playing the protective sibling, he invites himself over in an attempt to find out if he is just playing around with his sister, but he is easily won over with a tetra pack of chocolate milk, access to his telescopes, and some high definition photos of Chile’s Atacama Desert. While Song-Yi obsesses with her youth, the inevitable consequence of dating someone who would never age, and preparations for their 100th 1000th day anniversaries, Min-Joon reminds her that, with tears in his eyes, that he would have to leave for good after a month to go back to the star where he originally came from.
At
last, Alien gets to discover the device planted on lawyer Jang’s bag, at least
now he could feed Hwi-Kyeong’s brother the wrong information. Even Hwi-Kyeong
playing the naive amnesia card is clever, and do we not like it when our
protagonists use their brain and not just be sitting ducks waiting to be
attacked? Anyway, as the drama nears its end, we are now witnessing the happy
moments at last, but everything is just so ironic because no matter how fun
everything seems to be, the fact still remains that all of this is just
short-lived, and that they would have to cut their romance short unless a
clever twist is presented. This is exactly the catch seeing Alien use his
powers without any consequences, unlike that personal gain thingy which is
usually involved in TV shows with characters which have superpowers. Here, the
main issue is time, and Alien’s impending departure. It is sad, but let us wait
and see how the writers will turn this around. Or would they?
