6.6 Blood of My Blood

Meera trudges through the snow until she cannot go any farther, while Bran lays inactive getting more flashbacks. As the White Walkers catch up, a man on horseback comes to their rescue, who later reveals himself to be his long lost Uncle Benjen. Sam and Gilly make their way to Horn Hill. Awkwardness ensues as his father insults him and her at the dining table. He prepares to leave, but comes back for Gilly and her son, saying that all three of them belong together. As Margaery is set to begin her walk of atonement, Jaime and the Tyrells march in and a confrontation follows. They’re caught unawares as Tommen emerges from the sept, announcing his alliance with the High Sparrow. Arya poisons Lady Crane’s rum but their conversation convinces her that she’s a good person. She aborts her mission. On her way back to Meereen, Daenerys contemplates on sailing to Westeros with all of her army in tow. She disappears, comes back mounting Drogon, and rallies her new khalassar to give her the seven kingdoms Khal Drogo promised her.

6.5 The Door

Petyr meets up with Sansa and pledges the support of the Knights of the Vale, but she blames him for the torture she endured with Ramsay. She and Jon weigh their options, and set out to rally more northern houses to their cause. Arya is given a second chance by assassinating a theater actress, but is sidetracked by a farce mocking her father. The Ironborn rally behind Theon, but he supports his sister Yara’s bid instead. Their efforts are in vain as Euron arrives and takes the salt throne. Brother and sister flee, taking all their best ships with them. Daenerys pardons Ser Jorah, but he insists that she send him away, revealing his greyscale. Tyrion employs the help of a red priestess to legitimize Daenerys’ hold of Meereen. Varys chastises her, but she reveals secrets of his past that makes him reevaluate his skepticism of the unknown. Bran’s trip to the past reveals the origin of the White Walkers. His stubbornness leads them right where they are at present, resulting in the Three-Eyed Raven’s death. Hodor also dies, holding the door.

[TEOTIHUACAN] Choose Your Own Pyramid

I’m not really sure if I should declare the pyramids of Teotihuacán as Mexico’s biggest tourist draw. I mean, it is a UNESCO World Heritage site, but so are Chichen Itza and a few dozens more scattered all over the country. Mexico City itself already has three, so why bother sitting on a bus for an hour just to see some Mesoamerican pyramids, right? Like, doh. And we haven’t even mentioned beaches and the likes of Cancún yet. Well, tourists come in hordes to scale those pyramids. Enough said. The rest is up to you.

X-Men: Apocalypse

After the events in Days of Future Past, the trio go their separate ways: Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) now runs a school for the gifted; Raven Darkholme (Jennifer Lawrence) rejects her newfound fame as a hero and sets up her own cause by rescuing oppressed mutants from their tormentors; and Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) starts anew in Poland, away from all the action. All this changes with the reemergence of En Sabah Nur, also referred to as Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac). Known as the world’s first mutant, he ends up trapped in a pyramid for a couple of centuries after he is betrayed in Ancient Egypt by those who worshipped him as a God. Awakened in current time, 1983, he picks up where he left off by recruiting four horsemen who will assist him in burying the world order that has arisen in his absence, and promising to build a new one from its ashes.

6.4 Book of the Stranger

Jon Snow prepares to leave Castle Black just in time when Sansa, Podrick, and Brienne come marching in. She wants to take Winterfell back, but he’s tired of fighting. Petyr manipulates the truth to his advantage, gains the upper hand, and mobilizes the Knights of the Vale to prep them for Sansa’ rebellion. Tyrion and Varys try the diplomatic approach with the masters of Slaver’s Bay, which does not sit well with either Grey Worm or Missandei. The Lannisters and the Tyrells settle their animosity against one another in a plan to seize power back from the faith militants. Theon reunites with his sister at the Iron Islands and supports her bid to be the new Ironborn ruler. Osha ends up dead trying to outwit Ramsay, leaving Rickon hostage. Ramsay then sends Jon Snow a threat which the two Starks just can’t ignore. Ser Jorah and Daario sneak into Dosh Khaleen to rescue Daenerys, but she refuses. On the day of her trial, she literally burns the house down killing all the Khals, emerges unscathed, and gains a new horde of Dothraki followers.

En el sitio de web de la UNAM se encuentra toda la información que necesitas para empezar de planificar tu estancia en México. Cada año se ofrecen 6 niveles de 6 semanas cada uno, de los cuales se deben superar 9 para poder terminar el nivel superior.

Buscar un buen apartamento forma gran parte de establecerse en una ciudad nueva. Para mí ha sido muy fácil gracias a la ayuda de la universidad. Uno de los servicios ofrecidos por la UNAM es lo de opciones de alojamiento, un sitio de web en que se listan varias opciones de hospedaje dentro de la ciudad. Lo que me más destacó fue una gran casa en Coyoacán que tiene cuatro o cinco habitaciones con su propio baño y cocina pequeñita. Aunque la renta es un poco más cara, vale la pena considerando la ubicación y la condición de la casa.

Hoy es el primer día de clases y estoy muy entusiasmado. Siempre digo que voy a México pero nunca lo hago. Pués ahora ya estoy aquí y he decidido de inscribirme en la mejor universidad del país. Tengo tres cursos a asistir por seis semanas: lo de la lengua en general, un taller de redacción y una clase de conversación. Aún no estoy seguro hasta cuándo me quede aquí. Quiero tomar el examen de DELE C2 antes de que termine este año, así que tengo que preparar bien y aquí no habrá ningún problema con el visado. Bueno, ya veremos.

6.3 Oathbreaker

A bewildered Jon Snow rises from the dead, greeted by an equally baffled Melisandre and Ser Davos. Sam and Gilly endure seasickness en route to the Citadel. He tells her that she will stay with his family in Horn Hill instead. Bran’s visions of the past continue, with Ned Stark as a young man trying to rescue his sister Lyanna at the Tower of Joy. Bran calls out to him, and he appears to have heard him shout his name. Daenerys is brought to Vaes Dothrak with the other widows. Varys finds out that the Sons of the Harpy rebellion was funded by the masters in Yunkai, Volantis, and Astapor. Jaime and Cersei start plotting their revenge by trying to regain some leverage in the Small Council, but they’re finding it difficult to do so. A frustrated Tommen faces off with the High Sparrow, but his efforts are in vain. The Waif goes on torturing Arya, who is starting to adapt well to her blindness. Passing Jaqen’s test, she regains her eyesight. Back in Winterfell, Osha and Rickon are captured and brought to Ramsay.

Hello, children. Today I’m going to tell you the tragic tale of the Aztec goddess Coyolxauhqui, also known as Blue Tits. Once upon a time, her mommy, the goddess Coatlicue, found out that she’s pregnant. Not wanting to tell her children that their neighbor’s gardener mowed her lawn, she invented this cock and bull story about how she found a ball of cotton on her chest when she woke up that morning, and then blamed it for the pregnancy. Blue Tits wasn’t convinced, children. Oh no, she wasn’t. She wanted mommy dead.

[MEXICO CITY] 007 Crashed a Chopper Here

Mexico celebrated Mother’s Day on Tuesday, which meant that there was no second day of class because it was suspended. National holiday! Lest Mexico City becomes the latest victim of my I-live-here-anyway-let’s-just-go-sightseeing-next-time syndrome, I decided that it was the best time to go and cross out one region from my touristy to-do list. And where else would you rather go but the Zócalo! After all, most of the important tourist attractions are located at this historic center of the city.

I wasn’t really planning on going to Texas. I mean, of all places in the US, why there? Well, what happened is that while searching for flights from Los Angeles to Mexico City, all the direct flights were more expensive than the ones with stopovers by around USD 100. I crossed out Volaris from my list because the prices were almost similar to American Airlines, which is part of my mileage program alliance. I found a flight with a stopover in Dallas and I thought, why not? I land there at 6 AM and take off at 6 PM. Daytrip!

6.2 Home

Bran is trained by the Three-Eyed Raven. Their visions take them to the past where he sees his father, Uncle Benjen, Aunt Lyanna, and even Hodor as children. Cersei is barred from leaving the Red Keep to attend Myrcella’s funeral. Jaime threatens the High Sparrow, but backs off after the faith militants arrive. Much to Varys’ reluctance, Tyrion befriend Daenerys’ dragons, unchains them, and seemingly gains their trust. Theon refuses to go with Sansa to Castle Black, opting to go back home to the Iron Islands instead, where his father has just been murdered by his uncle, Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbaek). In Braavos, the Waif continues to bully a blind Arya Stark. Ramsay stabs Roose to death before feeding his foster mother and newborn baby brother to his hounds. In Castle Black, the Wildlings attack the brotherhood just as they are about to lure Ser Davos and company out of hiding. He convinces a catatonic Melisandre to try to resurrect Jon Snow. She is hesitant at first, but gives it a shot. She succeeds.
