Game of Thrones (HBO): Season 6/Episode 2

6.2 Home
Bran is trained by the Three-Eyed Raven. Their visions take them to the past where he sees his father, Uncle Benjen, Aunt Lyanna, and even Hodor as children. Cersei is barred from leaving the Red Keep to attend Myrcella’s funeral. Jaime threatens the High Sparrow, but backs off after the faith militants arrive. Much to Varys’ reluctance, Tyrion befriend Daenerys’ dragons, unchains them, and seemingly gains their trust. Theon refuses to go with Sansa to Castle Black, opting to go back home to the Iron Islands instead, where his father has just been murdered by his uncle, Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbaek). In Braavos, the Waif continues to bully a blind Arya Stark. Ramsay stabs Roose to death before feeding his foster mother and newborn baby brother to his hounds. In Castle Black, the Wildlings attack the brotherhood just as they are about to lure Ser Davos and company out of hiding. He convinces a catatonic Melisandre to try to resurrect Jon Snow. She is hesitant at first, but gives it a shot. She succeeds.

Aww, Lila Allen’s brother seems fully reformed now. I guess that’s what happens when they chop your manhood off. Wait, what? Jon Snow is alive again? Why not resurrect Ygritte too so we can drown in all the mush? Oops, too late. They already burned her corpse. In any case, good job, Red Woman. Don’t be sad now, you are super. When did Bran last make an appearance? Jojen died when? Season 4? No wonder the actor has noticeably aged a bit. And as an update to my constant hatred for the effing High Sparrow, I was waiting for Prince Charming to drive his sword into his effing chest. But it was cool because we were able to see terror in his face for a second or two. Too bad the idiot got away. Inspiring speech and cry for help, Baby Boy Lannister, but you are such a weakling. Those religious fundamentalists can be wiped away with a single word from you, you know? But I guess we should leave that to Queen B. Isn’t she the one who empowered them in the first place? You created that monster, now get rid of them.

“I drink and I know things.” –Tyrion Lannister
