Episodio 13: Amapola (Resurrección)

Llega el momento de la fiesta pero antes de nada Virginia visita la tumba de Roberta. Allí las dos mujeres platican sobre todo lo que ha pasado. Roberta le dice a Virginia que ya sabe todo que debe hacer. Virgina le da gracias a Roberta por hacerla comprender varias cosas. Elena quiere heredar la florería pero su mamá tiene otro plan en la mente. Julián le ruega a Diego que vuelva pero ya se va en un avión, impenitente y lleno de rencor por haberse quitado de su dignidad. María José y Bruno van al aeropuerto sin despedirse a la familia mientras que Paulina va a la fiesta. Dirigiéndose al público, la matriarca agradece a todos los que comparten el 50º aniversario de la florería. En vez de anunciar quién hereda la Casa de las Flores, declara la venta del negocio a los Chiquis. De repente llega Ernesto el cual sale de la cárcel gracias a su esposa. Después de tomar la foto familiar, Virginia deja una carta y abandona la casa con su pipa y una maleta. Paulina corre detrás su familia. Julián abraza su bisexualidad.

Al principio quería pensar que Roberta de verdad aún estuviera viva y que todo hubiera sido una historia de revancha orquestrada por las dos pero pronto se da cuenta de que todo es simbólico y tal vez un efecto de la mota. Sin embargo es una escena conmovedora, un momento de entendimiento silencioso entre dos mujeres despechadas. Elena y Julián ya no tienen asuntos pendientes. Parece que Elena y Claudio van a tener una segunda oportunidad mientras que lo de Diego es más una cuestión legal ahorita, un resentimiento que ya involucra toda la familia a causa del dinero robado. Acerca de Paulina, aún no se sabe si logre a reunir su familia o no. Lo de Virginia es simple, escoje simplemente de retirarse de todo eso. A lo mejor lo más intrigante es lo que pasa a Carmela y su stripper. Su marido los ve en la cama y la última escena fue un disparo. No importa quién habrá muerto pero significa el comienzo de un nuevo escándalo en la colonia el cual ya no gira necesariamente en torno a la familia de la Mora. ¿Punto final?

Episode 13: Poppy (Resurrection)

The day of the party arrives but first stop, Virgina visits Roberta’s grave. The two have a chat about everything that has come to pass. Roberta tells Virginia that she already knows what to do. Virginia thanks Roberta for making her realize many things. Elena wants to inherit the flower shop but her mom has another plan in mind. Julián begs Diego to come back but he’s already on a plane, unrepentant and full of rancor for having been stripped of his dignity. María José and Bruno head to the airport without saying goodbye, while Paulina proceeds to the party. Addressing the public, the matriarch thanks everyone for sharing the 50th anniversary of the flower shop. Instead of announcing who will inherit the House of Flowers, she declares the acquisition of the business by the Chiquis. Ernesto suddenly arrives after getting out of jail thanks to his wife. After the family photo, Virginia leaves a letter behind and leaves with her pipe and a suitcase. Paulina runs after her family. Julián embraces his bisexuality.

At first, I wanted to think that Roberta’s still alive for real and that everything has been a revenge plot orchestrated by the two women but you realize soon enough that it’s symbolic and perhaps just the effect of marijuana. Nevertheless, it’s a poignant scene, a moment of silent understanding betweem two scorned women. Elena and Julián don’t have any unfinished business left. It seems Elena and Claudio will have a second chance while that of Diego is now more than ever a legal issue, a grudge that now involves the entire family due to the stolen money. As for Paulina, it’s still not clear whether she can bring her family back together or not. That of Virginia is simple, she just chooses to disengage from it all. Perhaps the most intriguing is what happens to Carmela and her stripper. Her husband sees them in bed and the last scene is a gunshot. It doesn’t matter who would’ve died but it signals the start of a new scandal in the area which doesn’t necessarily revolve around the de la Mora family anymore. The end?
