Episodio 4: Petunia (Resentimiento)

Virginia le revela a Delia, la nana de Elena, que sabía todo sobre el caso de Ernesto. Uno de los secretos escritos en la carta que le dejó Roberta fue la confesión que a través de una carta de poder firmada por Ernesto, la difunta pudo aprovecharse de varias hipotecas las cuales totalizan millones de pesos. Delia también guarda otro secreto porque ya había leído la carta de la colgada antes de darsela a Virginia. Confía a Elena lo que leyó, lo de Roberta pidiéndole a Virginia que cuide a su hijita Micaela como Ernesto ha cuidado a uno de sus hijos que realmente no es suyo. Con todos los bienes de la familia congelados, no hay otro remedio que pedir favores de algunos conocidos. El abogado pide millones para defender a Ernesto y los bancos piden más por daños e interés. Por eso Paulina se traga su orgullo y le llama a su ex-marido, el cual dicen que es uno de los mejores abogados en el país entero. Dice que va a venir a México. Luego, Elena les cuenta a sus hermanos lo que Delia le ha revelado a ella.

Aún me confunde el motivo por la venganza. Acerca de la revelación sobre el hijo ilegítimo, en tramas como esta es normalmente el mayor. La madre se queda embarazada de otro novio y el marido toma responsabilidad. En este caso debe ser Paulina. Sin embargo puede ser que el hijo en cuestión fuera adoptado, así pués totalmente ajeno. A ver quién será. Pensaba que ya iba a aparecer Paco León pero parece que le van a dar una gran entrada. Es el único del elenco principal que aún está por presentar. ¿Qué más? El último episodio se ha centrado muy en el dilema de Julián. Este capítulo se llama Petunia, la cual representa el resentimiento, en particular lo de Virginia a su marido. No sé pero me ha aburrido un poco. También la revelación parece demasiado típica pero vamos a ver qué pueden hacer con esta subtrama. Bueno, me encantan las escenas de Virginia y Micaela. Debe de ser algo de Cenicienta con la madrastra cruel y todo eso pero las dos juntas son muy adorables. Tragedias adorables.

Episode 4: Petunia (Resentment)

Virginia reveals to Delia, Elena’s nanny, that she knew all about Ernesto’s case. One of the secrets written on the letter that Roberta left her is the confession that she was able to take advantage of various loans that sum up to millions of pesos through a power of attorney that Ernesto signed for her. Delia is also keeping another secret because she already read Roberta’s letter even before giving it to Virginia. She confides what she has read to Elena, that of Roberta asking Virginia to take care of her little daughter Micaela the way Ernesto took care of one of her children who is not really his. With all of the family’s assets frozen, there is no other way but to ask favors from some acquaintances. The lawyer is asking for millions to defend Ernesto and the banks are asking for more in damages and interest. And so Paulina swallows her pride and calls her ex-husband, who is said to be one of the best lawyers in the entire country. He agrees to come to Mexico. Elena then tells her siblings all about what Delia has revealed to her.

The reason for revenge still baffles me. As for the revelation about the illegitimate child, in plots like this it is usually the eldest. The mother gets pregnant with another guy’s child and then the husband takes responsibility. In this case it should be Paulina. Nonetheless the child in question can also be adopted, and thus totally unrelated to anyone. Let’s see who’s it going to be. I thought Paco León would already appear but it seems like they are giving him a grand entrance. He’s the only one in the main cast that is yet to be introduced. What else? The last episode focused so much on Julian’s dilemma. This chapter is called Petunia, which represents resentment, in particular that of Virginia toward her husband. I don’t know but it bored me a bit. Even the revelation seems too cliché but let’s see what they can do with this subplot. Virginia and Micaela’s scenes are fun. It has to be something like Cinderella with the cruel stepmother and all that but the two are so adorable together. Adorable tragedies.
