Episodio 29: Betonica (Sorpresa)

1979. Virginia sigue teniendo sexo con Salo para condicionar la mente que el bebé sea de él aunque determina con la ayuda de La Chiva que es en realidad de Pato. Ernesto y Carmelita también mantienen relaciones sexuales pero de tipo no convencional porque ella quiere conservar su virginidad. En el presente, Ernesto y Carmela se encuentran en el hospital y él no sabe cómo decirle a ella lo de Poncho el cual sigue fingiendo ser paralítico aunque ya lo vio Ernesto bailando en una clase de Zumba pocos días antes. Elena ya está fuera de peligro pero no recuerda casi nada de lo que ha pasado. Su abuela le da de alta del hospital y la lleva a la mansión sin conocimiento de sus hermanos. Bruno, Rosita y Micaela lanzan una carrera como un grupo de pop y graban un videoclip. No siguiendo su tratamiento, Purificación se anda con bobadas, con gran disgusto por la parte de su hermana. Paulina quiere volver juntas con María José pero ella ya quiere seguir adelante con una vida sin ella. Se queda en CDMX pero lejos de su ex.

¿Qué secreto estará ocultando esa bruja Victoria? A la familia no le cae bien y supongo que tenga algo que ver con su marido, el papá de Virginia. ¿Se enteraría del embarazo de Viriginia y intentaría un aborto? Lo que hace con Elena parece como una expresión de culpabilidad como si quisiera compensar algo. Puede ser también que esté aprovechándose nomás de la situación para ganar amigos, ¿pero para qué? Son todos sus nietos, ¿no? Bueno, lo de Bruno y Micaela es otra subtrama aburrida. Me imagino que ya se habría podido echar fuera hasta a Rosita también pero sin ella los dos ya no tendrían un papel. Purificación termina en una institución mental pero parece que va a seguir causando problemas. La pregunta es, ¿cómo? Otra pregunta que tengo es, si Pato es el papá verdadero de Paulina, ¿por qué le dijo a ella Virginia que fue Salo? También me acuerdo de una subtrama en la segunda temporada en la cual se dijo que Virginia recibió dinero para su tratamiento de la parte de “Pato” pero ese “Pato” resulta ser Diego.

Episode 29: Betony (Surprise)

1979. Virginia continues having sex with Salo to condition her mind that the baby is his even though she determines, with La Chiva’s help, that it is in fact Pato’s. Ernesto and Carmelita also maintain a sexual relationship but a non-conventional kind because she wants to conserve her virginity. At present, Ernesto and Carmela meet at the hospital and he does not know how to tell her all about Poncho, who keeps on pretending to be paralyzed although Ernesto already saw him dancing at a Zumba class a few days prior. Elena is already out of danger but remembers close to nothing about what happened. Her grandmother discharges her from the hospital and takes her back to the mansion without her siblings’ knowledge. Bruno, Rosita, and Micaela launch a career as a pop group and record a music video. Skipping her treatment, Purificación goes on messing around, much to her sister’s chagrin. Paulina wants to get back together with María José but she already wants to move on. She stays in Mexico City, but away from her.

What secret is that old hag Victoria hiding? The family does not like her and my guess is that it has something to do with her husband, Virginia’s dad. Would she find out about Virginia’s pregnancy and attempt an abortion? What she’s doing with Elena looks like a guilt trip as if she’s trying to make up for something. It can also be the case that she’s just taking advantage of the situation to win over some friends, but what for? All of them are her grandchildren, right? Well, that of Bruno and Micaela is yet another boring subplot. I can imagine that they could’ve also gotten rid of Rosita already but without her those two would have no more role to play. Purificación ends up in a mental institution, but it seems she’ll continue causing trouble. The question is how? Another question I have is, if Pato is Paulina’s real dad, why did Virginia tell her that it was Salo? I also recall a subplot in the second season wherein it was said that Virginia received money for her treatment from “Pato” but that “Pato” turned out to be Diego.
