Darna: Episode 40

   

40. Silent Shocker

Magpapanggap si Borgo bilang isang matandang ginang na makikipagkita kay Zaldy. Isasalaysay ni Antiporda sa inaanak ang kasaysayan ni Silent Shocker at kung paano nabuo ang galit nito sa kanyang ama matapos masawi ang mag-ina nito dahil sa isang kriminal na hindi nito pinatay. Nagkataon naman na ang nasabing bilanggo na sa ngayon ay may sakit ay ililipat ng pangkat nila Narda. Dito sila sasalakayin ng Extra. Hindi man kaagad makapagpalit ng anyo ay makakakuha naman ng pagkakataon si Narda matapos iwan sila Andre at Richard (LA Santos). Ang hindi niya alam ay susundan siya ni Richard at makikita nito ang kanyang pagpapalit-anyo bilang Darna. Mahihirapan itong matalo ang Extra sa una at maaalala lamang niya ang kuro-kuro ni Lolo Rolando at Ding tungkol sa tubig na maaring kahinaan ng Extra matapos ma-kuryente sila Richard, Brian at Antiporda. Matapos magapi ang Extra ay isusugod nila sa ospital si Richard. Sasabihin nito kay Narda na alam na niya ang kanyang lihim at pangangalagaan niya ito. #DarnaSilentShocker

Alam mo Richard lahat kadalasan ng nakakaalam ng lihim ng pangunahing tauhan ay namamatay. Yung bulag namatay na. Bukod dun sila Ding at Lola Roberta lang naman din ang nakakaalam pati na sila Lolo Rolando at Hergis. E hindi papatayin agad yung mga yun kasi malapit yun kay Narda. Kaya simulan mo na magdasal. Nakatutuwa man ang mga ganitong kaganapan dahil pakiramdam natin ay nababawasan ang dinadala ng pangunahing tauhan, alam din natin talaga ang maaring idulot nito. Sino naman kaya itong matandang babae na ginagaya ni Borgo ang anyo? Sa palagay ko ay lalo pang uusbong ang kaugnayan ng dalawang ito, baka nga kahit malaman pa ni Zaldy na si Borgo talaga yun. Magkatulad kasi sila ng hangarin kaya sa huli ay malamang magkakampihan din ang dalawang yan. Sa wakas ay nagkaharap na muli si Darna at Silent Shocker ngunit nakulangan pa rin ako sa laban nila. Sinampal lang niya ng mineral water yung kalaban tumiklop na. Napaka anti-climactic. #DarnaSilentShocker

40. Silent Shocker

Borgo shapeshifts into an old lady who meets up with Zaldy. Antiporda narrates Silent Shocker’s history to his godson, on how he has been nursing a grudge against hist father after his wife and kid perished because of a criminal that he didn’t kill. It just so happens that said prisoner who is now sick is being transported by Narda’s team. This is when the Extra appears to attack them. While she can’t transform at once, Narda finds the perfect timing when she abandons Andre and Richard (LA Santos). What she’s not aware of is that Richard follows her and witnesses her transformation to Darna. She finds it hard to defeat the Extra at first and she only recalls Ding and old man Rolando’s assumption that water might be the Extra’s weakness, but not after Richard, Brian, and Antiporda are all electrocuted. After finally defeating the Extra Richard is rushed to the hospital. There, he tells Narda that he knows her secret and promises to protect her identity no matter what. #DarnaSilentShocker

You know what, Richard? Most of those who discover the main character’s secret usually ends up dying. The blind girl already did. Aside from her, it’s only Ding and Lola Roberta who know, as well as old man Rolando and Hergis. Nevertheless, those four will not be killed off quickly because they are close to Narda. You better start praying. Amusing as these events might be because we feel as though a burden is lifted from the main character somehow, we all know how all of this ends. And who is this old lady that Borgo is impersonating now? I feel like the relationship between these two will develop even more, which might still be the case even if Zaldy finds out that she is really Borgo all along. It’s just that they have the same goals, so in the end they are more likely to join forces. Finally, Darna and Silent Shocker get to face each other once again, but I still find their fight quite lacking. She just slapped the enemy on the face with mineral water and he dropped unconscious. Anti-climactic much! #DarnaSilentShocker
