Darna: Episode 56

56. Rescue Me

#DarnaRescueMe

56. Rescue Me
With Ding’s help, Narda is able to track Brian’s whereabouts. She flies there as Darna but changes back to Narda as she opens the door to set Brian free. The two immediately head back to the latter’s house to look for answers and they notice the strange mirror that does not reflect Brian’s image. The two bring the mirror with them as they head to the house that Brian’s evil twin bought and where he is keeping Regina hostage. Regina’s snakes are agit as the Brian they are with confess that the other Brian’s true love is Narda while he, on the other hand, is just using Regina to extort money from her father. Even though Regina would love to end this Brian’s life as Valentina, she just can’t get herself to do it because he just won’t tell her where the other Brian is. The two Brians eventually face off along with Narda as the two arrive at the house while the police are hot in his pursuit. #DarnaRescueMe

Here we go again. What I feel is great disappointment each time they show us the creative illustrations that are Borgo’s plans. The drawings are really impressive and pretty and you can really see the vision that whoever created them had in mind. And then you see Borgo who looks like an idiot harking back to the 90's Power Rangers era while Valentina ends up as a laughingstock because of her snakes. It leads you to think, what would’ve happened if this ended up in the silver screen as it was originally intended to? Perhaps they could’ve focused more and given the material justice. Anyway, we’re already here. I appreciate their use of Brian as an avenue for Regina to further embrace Valentina. With this betrayal, Garcia’s acting skills have also been given enough opportunity to shine by portraying two sides of the same character. #DarnaRescueMe
