Darna: Episode 66

66. New Warrior

#DarnaNewWarrior

66. New Warrior
There are still no traces left as to where Borgo and Ishna ended up, while there is no confirmation either that they have died. Even then, Narda moves on with her life. She is now at peace with her obligations as Darna and she readjusts her focus on the continuous proliferation of a new illegal drug in the city which people refer to as Sparkler. The drug is being promulgated by a syndicate called Pintado Gang which is also responsible for the death of Brian’s father. Because of this, the two end up coordinating even more to bring down the syndicate. Regina is stood up by her dad Rex but she no longer wonders why because she has always felt unimportant to him anyway. Instead of looking for her dad, she, as Valentina, goes on with her killing spree of her enemies who manage to escape the law. Meanwile, the newly arrived Martean gradually makes her presence felt by tracking Darna down. #DarnaNewWarrior

They consumed the runtime of his episode in a mega flashback of sorts. Truth be told, almost the first half of this episode is totally a rerun of the previous episode’s last half where they show the rather anti-climactic battle between Darna and Borgo. It seems like they wasted time here when not a lot of time has passed for us to forget what happened in the last episode. It shows, though, that this is indeed the start of a new chapter given how Darna is now okay with her responsibilities. I have a strong gut feeling that Borgo is not really dead. He is probably just resting while this newly-arrived Martean takes over in wreaking havoc for the meantime. It is difficult to guess who is behind the battle armor of this new character. All I can think of is that she will also end up as Darna’s ally eventually. After all, isn’t Borgo everybody’s enemy anyway? #DarnaNewWarrior

–Darna
