Darna: Episode 84

84. No One's Arc

#DarnaNoOnesArc

84. No One's Arc
Noah wakes up devoid of wounds and without any memory of what happened to him. The last thing he remembers is his quarrel with his dad and gasping for air before dying in his arms. He finds out while taking a shower that he now has the power to create and manipulate fire with his hands. He puts it to good use at once by causing a village fire, which Brian witnesses as he takes a stroll outside while in deep thought. Regina also sees the incident as her car is passing by the venue. Brian follows Noah to ask him about what happened and they end up in an argument. Noah attempts to incinerate Brian but his powers refuse to manifest. He does not give up, however, and continues training in order to understand better how his powers work. Richard tries to help Andre with whatever it is he is going through but he gives him the cold shoulder. #DarnaNoOnesArc

It’s strange how ABS-CBN seems to have gotten away with convincing special effects for fire this time around. It’s just that in their previous fantasy series, it all looked awful. The fire effects here are not that convincing either but definitely a noticeable improvement. Noah’s relevance to the plot suddenly grows and his presence is much more felt now than ever before. This power actually suits him well because he seems to be the naturally hot-headed type. At this point, we pity Brian a bit because he’s the only one left without powers. The question now is what are the writers planning to do with this character? Noah and Andre are best friends, aren’t they? And now it’s the two of them who suddenly have powers. Another question is why hasn’t Noah burned his father yet to death? Don’t they live in the same house after all and isn’t he his most-hated person in all of Nueva Esperanza aside from Brian? #DarnaNoOnesArc

“I hate you so much, Dad. –Noah
