Darna: Episode 118

118. Stand As One

#DarnaStandAsOne

118. Stand As One
While Narda is sprawled on the floor, Ding arrives at a run bringing his own explosives with him which somehow distracts Valentina’s concentration. The siblings fight with Valentina but are overpowered given how she is way stronger than them which is why the other people from the village also help out but to no avail. In the end, it is old man Rolando who saves them all using a new weapon he crafted that spews Sulfur right in Valentina’s face. An injured Valentina escapes and stumbles upon Borgo. Instead of teaming up with him, she just ridicules him yet again. Brian arrives at Narda’s house and finds it padlocked. He finds out that her life is in danger because of Valentina’s threats. Hergis almost gets to escape from his cell but Ishna’s sudden arrival foils his plan. Diaz arrives at the rehabilitation facility for Extras to usurp its leadership from old man Rolando. #DarnaStandAsOne

The message Darna is trying to convey to its audience has always been good because they are really striving to show that Darna is not responsible for everyone. Instead, she is empowering the townsfolk by teaching them how to take care of themselves even though she is there for her. This has been perfectly clear from the get-go and this isn’t bad. If only the flow of the story and the special effects weren’t that atrocious in the last few months, then perhaps we can be happy with this. It’s just that for now, their message is clear to everyone but the show has lost its lustre because they are really just prolonging this. In short, we are all getting bored and always on the lookout for something new. If there is nothing new to offer, then why not just end it? How many times does Valentina need to lose for her to finally join Borgo’s ranks so they can all start bashing each other’s faces? #DarnaStandAsOne

–Borgo
