Armed with a vial containing the Harvest, Fury heads to New Skrullos to settle the score with Gravik once and for all, but the radiation levels prove to be a real challenge. Meanwhile, Sonya flies back to London to confront the Skrull pretending to be Rhodey who almost convinces Ritson to start a war with Russia. Fury shows up in the ensuing shoot-out, revealing that the other Fury in New Skrullos is actually G’iah in disguise. Both she and Gravik are caught inside the machine and consequently receive the combo of powers of almost everyone involved in the Battle of Earth. The two duke it out until G’iah gains the upper hand and deals a fatal blow in the form of a cosmic beam through Gravik’s chest. In the end, there can only be one Super Skrull after all. She is recruited by Sonya with the promise of mutual protection for both their species. Vara decides to join Fury on his trip back to SWORD, their first project being the discussion of a truce with the Kree.

Oppenheimer

1926. A young J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) studies Physics at Cambridge and almost poisons his professor through an apple. After an academic detour at Göttingen, he returns to the United States to spearhead a Quantum Physics program in California. He marries biologist Katherine Puening (Emily Blunt) but it doesn’t take long for him to start an extramarital affair with US Communist Party member Jean Tatlock (Florence Pugh), whom he loses to suicide later on. He acknowledges the potential for nuclear fission to be weaponized as it was discovered in the late 1930’s and is eventually recruited by US Army General Leslie Groves (Matt Damon) to lead the country’s Manhattan Project, which would develop the atomic bomb that would eventually be dropped on two cities in Japan to end the second World War. As his former ally Lewis Strauss (Robert Downey Jr.), a high-ranking member of the US Atomic Energy Commission, testifies against him to salvage his own political career, Oppenheimer reflects on the guilt he feels for honing a weapon that could devastate the world.

Barbie

Stereotypical Barbie (Margot Robbie) is forced to go through an existential crisis as her human owner, Gloria (America Ferrera), who happens to be an employee of Mattel, unleashes her disillusionment in life through her Barbie sketches that defy convention. Seeking advice from Weird Barbie (Kate McKinnon), who believes the only way for her to go back to normal is to head to the real world to confront the girl playing with her, Barbie ends up at Venice Beach with Ken (Ryan Gosling) in tow as they both try to navigate the strangeness of the mortal world that is so alien to them. While Barbie searches for answers and eventually finds Mattel’s California HQ as well as its current CEO (Will Ferrell), Ken is mesmerized by the concept of patriarchy, which he decides to bring back with him to Barbieland to initiate a Ken-led revolution, toppling the power the Barbies once wielded. Can Barbie still go back not just to her old self but also to her old world or should these recent changes be embraced instead of shunned?

Secret Invasion - Episode 5

5. Harvest

Talos being revealed as an alien along with footage of Gravik gunning down Maria Hill on CCTV are utilized by Raava, the Skrull impersonating Rhodey, to blackmail Nick Fury. Raava briefs Ritson about the Skrulls and lies to him saying that they are in cahoots with the Russians and should, thus, be nuked. Fury suggests that G’iah head over to Vara to bury her father. The two have a chat after the burial but are quickly interrupted by an ambush of Gravik’s men which they successfully repel. Sonya exposes her superior as a Skrull and takes over his position. She also locates the Skrull couple posing as scientists who are in charge of Gravik’s Harvest plans. She meets Fury in Finland and he confesses to her that in the aftermath of the Battle of Earth, he tasked an army of Skrulls led by Gravik to collect most of their DNA, which is what Gravik is after so he can create Super Skrulls with the combined powers of the Avengers. Fury retrieves the vial hidden in his tomb and gives someone a call as he gears up with his gun and signature eye patch.

Secret Invasion - Episode 4

4. Beloved

Unbeknownst to Gravik, G’iah already called first dibs on his Harvest machine, injecting herself with Extremis before he shot her. She quickly recovers and meets up with her father, asking him what his plans are, of which she is not convinced. Fury has bugged his wife’s phone before she meets up with Rhodey who is revealed to be a Skrull. He orders her to get rid of Fury. As husband and wife have a heart-to-heart talk, they end up shooting at each other but intentionally missing, a sign that their loyalty remains with one another. He warns her that her kind will be coming back at her for such betrayal. She tells him she is always ready. US president Ritson (Dermot Mulroney) arrives for high-level talks and is ambushed by Gravik who now displays accelerated healing powers as well as that of Groot’s. Talos is shot and later stabbed in the chest by Gravik disguised as a soldier. Fury reluctantly leaves him for dead as he prioritizes the safety of the president.

Secret Invasion - Episode 3

3. Betrayed

Not knowing whether he can trust his wife who is a Skrull herself, Nick Fury goes back to Talos who reminds him of how instrumental he and his Skrulls were in his ascent at SHIELD. Earlier that day, he requests a parlay with Gravik and the two meet up at a museum in an effort to deter each other, but neither one is willing to back down. Gravik has already unveiled his Harvest plans to the Skrull council, explaining how he intends for them to gain superpowers themselves, knowing that Earth is not exactly a sitting duck in this fight because they have superheroes that will come at their behest anytime. Fury gets wind of a plan to launch a submarine strike against a UN-sanctioned aircraft which can trigger WWIII. After a little help from Sonya as far as intel goes, they track down the Skrull in charge of the launch codes but end up needing G’iah’s help to find out the abort codes, which she gives them. The strike is prevented but G’iah is caught and shot in the chest by Gravik. Varra retrieves a gun from a vault and receives a call from Gravik’s men.
